My Bip Bip Neighbour (blue, like Nico’s eyes) / Sarah-Lou Lepers
What happens when other people don't hear it?
Sarah-Lou Lepers a French journalist who made her first radio show at 5 with a cassette recorder—and never stopped. Sound is her language, her compass, her way to reveal what stays hidden: taboos in families, unheard teenagers, stories history forgot. Her first documentary aired on ARTE Radio in 2016. Since then, Sarah has produced series with Slate, Louie Media, Agence France Presse and more. In 2023, she joined Villa Albertine’s Sounds of New York program. For Sarah, editing isn’t work but instinct—a sixth sense that turns listening into storytelling.
My Bip Bip Neighbour was made with neighbours Nicolas Defoor & Carine Rey, and chosen as a Circuit Select for Circuit 06: Creative Tension. The tension bird below was knitted by Lorna Hamilton-Brown in response to this fluxwork.
